So out of sheer curiosity of the ratio of naked men vs. women on this site, I clicked on the "Artistic Nude" linky and cruised through the pages to count up how many of which I had the pleasure of seeing.  *mildly annoyed/disappointed sigh*

As I thought.  I don't know if it's because dA sucks with their porn policy or because people are fucking retarded and are okay with titties and coochies everywhere but can't handle some manly cash & prizes, whether or not the shot is actually very well done.  After 11 pages (because dA wouldn't let me go beyond that for some reason), here are the results:

Women: 211
Men: 52
Man/Woman: 1
None: 1

(that last one wasn't actually a person's body - it was a vase of some kind in the shape of, who can guess?  A woman.)

I get it.  We ladies are fun to photograph.  And I'm sure we're even more fun to look at.  I don't deny that many photos are indeed well done with effort put into them by the photographer as well as the model(s).  But of course there were plenty that I would never admit are art.  Sorry.  But I don't put a canvas smeared with shit in the category of art either.  So sue me.  I'm not claiming to be an expert in art or photography but....really?

There are plenty of directions I could go with this.  Plenty of things I could talk about.  But my little journal isn't going to be seen by, oh, anyone, and dA isn't going to change and I doubt we'll see a shift in those numbers anytime soon.  So I'm just going to move on and let it all be because we've already heard all the arguments before and so forth.  I'll just have to deal with seeing every woman's naked body on this site from here to eternity while the beauty of the male body remains hidden in the backpages of dA because everyone's so goddamn afraid of a dick.
